January. 31 days. Chelle’s home office organized. Is it possible? Join us on this 31 day organizing journey!! You can do anything for 31 days right?
Keep up with the entire series here.
Day 12 – Assignment: Rest. That is our assignment today. You may use today to catch up on previous assignments or to continue to sort or choose the next pile and go through it deciding what to purge.
We rested! After church Chelle and her son came out to eat with our family at Olive Garden. Thank you to Toby, the dog we sit for occasionally, and his generous Christmas gift! Thanks, Toby.
I have to report that this project has ignited some kind of fire in Chelle. She is texting me pictures of things she’s organized in other areas of her home like her toothpaste drawer.

Amazing work, Chelle!
Chelle also mentioned that she is loving having homes assigned to things so that when she finds something that needs to get put away she knows where it should go! She was cleaning out her bedroom and knew exactly where a framed picture that she wasn’t going to hang should go – in the photo closet off her office on a shelf. She also put away office supplies, loose photos, an extension cord, our Ci booth supplies (that lovely framed photo of us) and her camera (we made a drawer in her dresser the camera drawer).
Other clients have said the same thing. Your whole life is affected once you make progress and get items assigned homes. It’s contagious and will likely spread through your entire home. Better this than the stomach flu this winter! 🙂
KEEP going!!! You can do it. You still may be in the overwhelming part with piles all over. You may not be able to see any progress but don’t give up! Post any questions or comments below!
We leave you with Beth Armstrong’s latest post from our Declutter Your Heart series, “All In Your Family.” We hope you are encouraged by it in the midst of your organizing (or resting).
