The show (#101) ended with the suggestion to begin the organizing conversation within your family. Here are 4 specific questions to ask. Have fun with this exercise!
The 4 questions to begin the organizing conversation within your family:
- What is your favorite thing about our home?
- What is one thing you can’t find when you need it in our home? (example: car keys)
- How do you feel when you can’t find that item over and over? (example: frustrated and rushed)
- Where should we assign that item to live so we can find it and know where to put it away? (example: A hook inside the kitchen cabinet)
Remember to keep the discussion light. Use suggestions to make a home for the item you talked about. Share this with the entire family. Be done organizing for now! Try this approach again at another time.
Let us know how your discussion went.
