Here is what I gave to friends and family last year…Bronzed Chicken Rub. I’ve included all the details below.
BRONZED CHICKEN RUB
To make a batch of the rub mix the following in a bowl and put in a shaker.
1 t garlic powder
1 t salt
1 t paprika
1/2 t black pepper
1/2 t onion powder
1/2 t cumin
1/2 t chili powder
1/4 t cayenne pepper
Rinse, dry and pound 4 boneless chicken breasts to about 1/4 of an inch between plastic wrap.
Melt 1/4 cup of butter. Dip chicken in butter. Sprinkle rub on one side. Place the seasoned side down to cook in pan or griddle over medium-high heat for 3 minutes. Sprinkle top while bottom is cooking. Flip and cook the other side for 3 minutes.
Then, I printed out labels. The first label is attached to the container so they have handy instructions while cooking with the rub. The other label is the actual recipe. I put it on a 3×5 card, punched a hole in the corner and tied it with a ribbon to the container of rub.
You can use my labels if you would like to use this clutter-free gift idea this year!
Download them here. (Page three is blank. I tried VERY hard to delete it but it didn’t work! Ugh.)
