One of the many things we love about Laura, The Organizing Junkie (listen to the interview here), is that she is down to earth. She shops at the Dollarama. We’ve never shopped at the Dollarama. Well, that’s because they are only in Canada and we have never been to Canada (LOL). You can see some of her favorite organizing finds from the Dollarama here. All we can say is that if our dollar stores had organizing sections that looked like this we would be there.
Laura mentioned in the show, Get Your Fix From The Org Junkie, that when choosing organizing products she thinks of function first. She likes to use things she has around the house like Kleenex, cereal and tea boxes. I (Tracy) cut the top half of the big Sam’s Club cereal boxes and put them in my Tupperware drawer. One contains the round plastic lids and one has the square. It works great!
Containers provide limits and boundaries. Limits and boundaries stop clutter from manifesting.
Teach your children how to set limits and boundaries. Using bins and dividers can help. Here is a photo of how Laura uses containers in her son’s drawer. Click on the photo to see Laura’s post with more bins and drawer ideas!
What dollar store finds do you use to organize?
