This month is Love Is In The Air month. Week one = LOVE Your Life. One of the ways to love your life more is to be thankful. Joshua Becker gave the assignment at the end of his interview to write down things you are thankful for. Thinking of stories is a fun way to appreciate what you have, too. We share some of the things we are thankful for with stories on our show this week, LOVE Your Life.
Just the other day I (Tracy) was looking through my recipe book and was so thankful for all the people in my life. Whenever someone shares a recipe with me I rename it and write the date they gave it to me. I have Radonn’a Chicken, Tammy V’s Chicken and Rice Casserole, Cyndi’s Strawberry Shortcake, Chelle’s Mexican Chicken, Karen’s Sunny Vegetable Salad, Heather’s Lasagna and more!
When we were over at Chelle’s house she mentioned that she had made some of her grandma’s homemade hot fudge. I didn’t even know you could home make hot fudge! That afternoon we splurged and had a hot fudge sundae! YUMMMMMM!
We just had to share the recipe… If you are like me you will rename it Clutter Interrupted’s Hot Fudge 2/4/14.
Grandma Penner’s Hot Fudge
1/2 Cup Sugar
3 T Cocoa
1 1/2 T Cornstarch
1/2 Cup Water, room temperature
Cook in microwave until thickened, stirring every 30 seconds or so. Watch it carefully so it doesn’t burn.
Blend in 2 T Butter. Cook until butter is melted.
Stir in 1 T Vanilla.
Pour over ice cream! Top with peanuts and whip cream.
Here is Chelle’s son, Nathan, enjoying it!
