Listen to show #160 – How To Organize Paper So You Can Find What You Need.
Do you struggle with paper piles?
Is the paper in your life…
Causing you stress?
Becoming a burden?
Wasting time looking for things?
Forgetting events, deadlines, and things you need to do?
Missing opportunities to train your children to handle the paper in their lives?
We address this very issue in show #160 How to Organize Your Paper So You Can Find What You Need. We cover, step-by-step, how to establish a system that will help you organize the paper coming into your home.
The first step to creating a system to organize your paper is to get an Inbox! ALL paper coming into your home now must go into the inbox.
- Get an inbox. We love these – colorful, with a removable lid. Or, you can temporarily use a Tupperware dish, cake pan or the bottom of a cardboard box.
- Place the inbox in a prominent spot, preferably where paper piles up now. The kitchen counter or a table close to the hub of your home works well.
- Get the entire family on board. Request and remind them to place all paper in the inbox.
When paper is in the inbox, it is unprocessed.
