Now it is time to create the action file. These are the supplies needed:
1. Desktop file bin
2. Hanging files (8-12)
Choose a fun print like this or just use what you have.
3. File folders
Again, choose some bright ones like these or use the manila ones you already have. These are optional. I suggest using one for the front of the inbox for the cuteness factor and a few to contain items for specific projects in a Projects hanging file.
4. Tickler file
Hang the hanging files in your desktop file bin and label them using a pen or label maker and the little plastic tab that comes with them. I like to have one file for each family member. Other files you may need are To File, Postage, Coupons, Contacts, Projects, etc. One client who had grown children needed a hanging file called Give To Kids. As she ran across something she needed (or wanted) to give to one of her kids she would drop it in this file (instead of laying it in a pile on her desk). When she assembled a package to send to them she would pull things out of her file to include in the package.
Add a file folder in the front of the bin to make it cute and to match your decor.
Drop a few file folders in one hanging file for projects later.
Add a tickler file in the front.
Voila! You are ready for action!
