LACK OF FOLLOW THROUGH
Take that little extra time and put things where they go. Hang clothes back up. Shut the drawer, etc.
Tip: Stop your organizing project 15 minutes before your time is up and put away your elsewhere pile. Unlike Chelle you will not have a Letterman jacket laying at the foot of your bed from your closet organizing project 3 weeks ago.
JUST PLAIN LAZY
You just don’t feel like it…and you’d rather watch T.V. or read a book. You deserve to relax! But, you gotta do what you gotta do. Work before play whether you feel like it or not.
TOO MUCH STUFF
This article, 100 things I Don’t Own, was interesting. A little extreme. After listening to our interview with Joshua Becker most of us will feel inspired to rid ourselves of excess. Free yourself from disorganization!!
Get RID of the STUFF!!!
MAJOR LIFE CHANGE
Moved? Sickness? New baby or babies? Death in the family? These things happen and we get disorganized. Its okay. Just put in the effort once the change has passed to recover from chaos so you don’t live feeling ashamed and disappointed in the disorganization.
LACK OF DECISION MAKING
Clutter = Delayed Decisions. Decisions are hard. Decisions require energy. Decisions require practice. The more organizing decisions you make the better you get!
TOO BUSY…DO NOT SCHEDULE TIME FOR ORGANIZING
Organizing is not super urgent. You can step over the piles, ignore the overflowing cabinets and put it off. Realize the benefits of getting organized and you will move it up the priority list and schedule organizing projects on your calendar.
OVERWHELMED..DON’T KNOW HOW OR WHERE TO START
Freeze up. Procrastinate. Don’t know where to put things. Too many projects. The whole house is a disaster? Too many organizing container options? ADD or struggle with chronic disorganization?
